Well almost dry, yo
As far as Tupac is concerned, it appears we're finally getting to the bottom. Some of the raps that were dug up for Loyal to the Game are definitely of dubious quality, to the point where a few hardly even sound like him. Perhaps that is due to production decisions on Eminem's part, who very well could have increased or decreased the pitch for the sake of achieving the sound he wanted; all in all, it doesn't do much service to Pac's legacy.
But aside from those few snafus, this record is top shelf. The guest appearances are of the quality that Tupac merits, and Eminem's awesome beats are reminiscent of some of the best collaborations between Pac and Dr. Dre. Tupac deserves beats that sound this good, which puts this collection a huge step above the "quantity-over-quality" double CD's of his previously unreleased material that have flooded the market since his death.
