More Wildguard from Todd Nauck
January 24, 2005

All Apologies
Todd Nauck's Wildguard featuring IgnaciaAgain... more apologies from Editor Steve for the long delay in updates. What did you guys miss out on this time? More reality-TV-meets-superhero-team goodness from Todd Nauck in the form of more Wildguard comics! Here's the ultra-bleated press release:

Popular comic artist to compete on new trivia game show.
COSTA MESA, CA—November 18, 2004—Comic artist/writer, Todd Nauck, will be appearing on PAX TV’s new game show, On The Cover, this Wednesday, November 24th at 5:30 PM (Eastern and Pacific).

Todd, whose credits include WILDGUARD, TEEN TITANS GO, and YOUNG JUSTICE, auditioned for the show earlier this year and taped an episode in August of 2004. "They asked me to be a contestant on the Wednesday before the San Diego Comic-Con," shares Nauck. "There was no way I was gonna miss the country’s biggest comic convention and the producers of the show were kind enough to give me a second date to come play the game."

On The Cover, which airs on PAX TV weeknights at 5:30 (Eastern and Pacific) 4:30 (Central), invites three contestants to compete in three rounds of pop culture trivia. Questions and answers are based around magazine, DVD, music, and video game covers. "The show was completely new and hadn’t aired when I auditioned and played the game," explains Nauck, "it took a little bit to learn how the game is played. It’s pretty straight forward trivia but the way some of the questions are posed can be a little tricky." Nauck goes on to say, "I’m not allowed to speak on the outcome of my episode, but I did what I could to keep the game lively. Don’t miss round three!" Nauck was able to talk about his creator owned property, WildGuard, on the show.

Todd’s appearance on TV comes four weeks before the release of his new Image comic, WILDGUARD: FIRE POWER (Dec 22nd). FIRE POWER is the follow up one-shot to his made-for-TV superhero mini-series, WILDGUARD: CASTING CALL. Readers can check out the weekly WildGuard web strips at http://wildguard.com. The much anticipated WILDGUARD: CASTING CALL trade paperback will be solicited later this month.

Fans, go to your local comic shops and check out the new Wildguard. Todd, if you're coming to Wizard World Boston 2005, Editor Steve will buy you a couple beers.
