Trekkies and the First Amendment
by Joel Why, Curious Staff Writer
April 11, 2005 + Los Angeles, CA

My house is about three blocks from Paramount Studios. So, I’m driving by on Friday [February 25, 2005] and I see a few cops directing traffic, and about 45 people in front of the entrance with signs and billboards doing some type of protest.

Protesting what? Well, turns out they’re exercising their First Amendment rights to decry the modern-day holocaust of... canceling Star Trek Enterprise. I snapped these with my phone as I was stopped at a red light (which explains why they’re such crappy photos). Enjoy!

To accomplish this goal, Stephen sought out friends, friends of friends, Web acquaintences, and former co-workers and assembled an all-star roster of writers with interests in music, movies, television, games, comic books, fashion, relationships, food, the completely random, and last, but certainly not least, sex. Check out our site map if you need help. Feel free to contact us with any questions. Aspiring writers please read our employment page. The Web site is designed and maintained by Boston's Silinx Studios, also run by Stephen Lin.
