A Parable...
A couple Valentine's Days ago, I did something special for my girlfriend. I got a room at the new Ritz-Carlton in Boston, tickets to Blue Man Group, and a nice dinner at Maison Robert. Now, you may be wondering why I'm telling you this in a review of Lay's new Cool Guacamole potato chips.
You see, at Maison Robert, I got a kick-ass appetizer order of escargot followed by an entree of calf's brains in a buttery garlic and capers sauce. The escargot rocked (snails are yummy)! However, while the flavor of the the brains was fantastic, I just couldn't fully get past the texture. Just too brain-like.
Cool Guacamole Lay's taste okay (they kind of taste like sour cream and onion; not really anything like guacamole), they just look HORRIBLE. That shit just looks moldy as Hell! Seriously... like green flattened doo doo. And wouldn't corn chips have made more sense for guacamole than potato chips?
