Art of the SaberI've seen plenty of cool stuff on FanFilms section of TheForce.net. And I've seen plenty of well choreographed, well edited, and well produce lightsaber duels. But not until recently did I see something that I thought, "Damn! This would make everyone at the Shaw Brothers studio proud!"

Seeing as how you already know I loved this fan film, I'm just going to give you the top ten reasons why you should go check it out:

  1. Decent use of "music by Hans Zimmer and a monologue extracted from an authentic Civil War love letter written in 1861".

  2. They managed to make plastic Hasbro lightsabers look like the real McCoy.

  3. Is there anything better than Jedi vs. Sith?

  4. The film is dedicated to their parents.

  5. The shooting location looks like freaking Endor (without the Ewoks) (or some place from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).

  6. No needless dialog.

  7. It gives the Star Wars Video Kid something to shoot for.

  8. Great finishing move!

  9. Clever and original choreography that would even please Jackie Chan and Yuen Woo Ping.

  10. It's completely produced by three Ho's (Clarance, Calvin, and Cary... hey I'm Chinese, I can make jokes like that).

Make sure you watch the finished product. The proof of concept is cool, too... but you REALLY want to see the polished junk.
