ToyBuilders.com: Custom Action Figures
by Jennifer Saylor, Comic Conventional Staff Writer
April 25, 2003 + Des Moines, IA

They Have the Technology
ToyBuilders.com MachineToyBuilders.com will make you your very own action figure (think G.I Joe 12 inch size). They aren't cheap, but if you spend the cash, you can get yourself immortalized in plastic! I found the site on CNN as they have made dolls of Pres Bush, Saddam and the rest of the crew.

CNN Running out of War News to Report
You can get your figure in an outfit of your choice: military gear or perhaps a pink Tutu (I feel pretty) or maybe some S&M gear!

Check it out for a good laugh at the expense of others. They are making a quite a few of these and even had to hire someone just to make the little Tutu's. Just think of the possibilities for future figures! Hitler, Stalin, Nixon, or Clinton (wait, I don't think you can make anymore fun of Bill... it's all already been done).

Turning Imagination into Reality... If You Can Afford It!
As I said, they can make toys that look just like you, but they'll cost you a pretty penny for set up and processing. They have some pretty cool machines that do this, so if you're going to fork over the cash, they will explain the whole process to you. These toys are actually made in America, so I would hope that they would be nicer than typical cheapo Asian imports (especially for the price).

They also make custom versions of popular games like Monopoly. They can also help you produce a game of your own design. We did this ourselves with the Game of Life (it's a lot more fun to make your own). If you want to design a brand new game but you're not very crafty or if you're allowed to have scissors, ToyBuilders is a pretty good option.
