A Little Surfing Goes a Long Way
Rust BoyI found Rust Boy in my online wandering at work. (I love getting paid to surf the net!) If you like animation (think Nightmare Before Christmas) you're going to love Rust Boy. I'm no computer geek, but I am once again amazed by what human creativity, ingenuity and a little "elbow grease" can achieve.

Rust Boy, when completed, will be a short film done on computer by just one person. This isn't a big Pixar movie project, it's just one man, one vision. Brian Taylor's site brings you into his creation as he takes you behind the scenes and keeps a diary of the project.

If you're into computers you'll need to check out all the sections on the site: Concept Art, Storyboards and a look at the opening of the movie. There's also a chat for people who want to discuss the programming behind the film.

Even if you're like me and have no idea what any of the techobabble means you've still got to check this out to see just how much work goes into a project like this. From making the rain on the windows to the clouds in the sky, all I can say is it's amazing.

So check it out, go back for the updates and be watching for when it's released. If I have to drive across the US I am going to see this when it comes out!

Who would you most like to see as the lead in Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman movie?
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Eliza Dushku
Sandra Bullock
Aria Giovanni
Summer Glau
Eva Longoria
Evangeline Lilly
Lynda Carter

To accomplish this goal, Stephen sought out friends, friends of friends, Web acquaintences, and former co-workers and assembled an all-star roster of writers with interests in music, movies, television, games, comic books, fashion, relationships, food, the completely random, and last, but certainly not least, sex. Check out our site map if you need help. Feel free to contact us with any questions. Aspiring writers please read our employment page. The Web site is designed and maintained by Boston's Silinx Studios, also run by Stephen Lin.
