Editor Steve's Star Wars Novel Obsession

NOT a Book Review
Star Wars Force Heretic I: RemnantJust to clarrify things right off the bat, this is not a book review. This is, somewhat abstractly, a self-review of my obsession with reading every post-Battle-of-Endor Star Wars novel in existence.

That said, based on my obsessive compulsive behavior, I'd give myself five sparkly gold stars, a cookie, and a silver trophy. Having started with the Timothy Zahn's Thawn Trilogy, I've now read straight through, in chonological order, just about every Star Wars novel starring the primary cast. (I think that puts me somewhere between 50 and 60. Check out the timeline at theForce.net.)

Sick? Yes!
I've even read the young adult (Young Jedi Knights) series of books. HOWEVER, I did draw the line (though, just barely) at the Junior Jedi Knights series for little kiddies.

For the record, I think I like Timothy Zahn and Michael A. Stackpole the best. Kevin J. Anderson is right up there, too. But overall, I'd have to say that all of the book-trilogies by any of the authors are pretty solid. And, I've found that I'm shockingly addicted to the New Jedi Order series of books. (After I finish Force Heretic I: Remnant, I'll be completely "current," so I'll have to go back and read Truce at Bakura and then the nine X-Wing books to fill in some gaps.)

Spreading the Sickness
I'd even consider giving myself SIX gold stars, TWO cookies, and a PLATINUM trophy, though. Why? Because I'm slowly but surely getting other people sucked into my obsession. Staffers Kerri and Kenny are both in the process of catching up to me as is Missie's husband.

I should try to hire myself out as a Star Wars Expanded Universe consultant. Or an infomercial salesman.

Who would you most like to see as the lead in Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman movie?
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Eliza Dushku
Sandra Bullock
Aria Giovanni
Summer Glau
Eva Longoria
Evangeline Lilly
Lynda Carter
