Subscription Junkie
Wizard Comic Book MagazineHi. My name's Steve and I'm a magazine subscription junkie. Actually, I'm not quite as bad as I used to be. I used to have subscriptions to about a dozen or more magazines (damn subscription telemarketers who donate a portion of their proceed to the Special Olympics!!!).

But now, I've trimmed my magazine roster to single digits. Among the surviving subscriptions are Spin, Rolling Stone, Maxim, Official Xbox Magazine, Computer Graphics World, and most importantly Wizard.

Most Importantly?
Okay, perhaps not most importantly, but definitely most entertainingly. Wizard is just a wonderful mishmash of geekiness that covers toys, movies, anime, and games while focusing on comic books.

Wizard is as funny and clever as it is informative and well-produced. It's a must-read for comic book lovers, yet still entertaining for non-comic-philes.

Take a Gander
Next time you're in a comic shop or a book store, wander over to the magazines and check out the following highlights of Wizard: Bunny Award (letters of the month), Last Man Standing (comic battles you never thought you'd see), Casting Call (industry pros pick their hypothetical dream casts for unmade movies), Mort of the Month (crappy dead comic book characters), and just about any picture with a caption (as it's bound to be funny).

By the way, I may add a couple of subscriptions back onto my roster soon: Photoshop User Magazine and Star Wars Insider Magazine. (Hi. My name's Steve and I'm an über geek.)

On the web: newly relaunched WizardUniverse.com, formerly WizardWorld.com.
