"Babe" Galleries
You've GOT to love a site that has a "babe" gallery that features the likes of Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Yvonne Craig (Batgirl), Maureen McCormick (Marsha Brady), and the girls of Buck Rogers! Sure there are galleries of Traci Lords and Bettie Page, too, but those sorts of things really are a dime a dozen on the web.
It's take a true pop-culture connoisseur to appreciate a site like Retro Crush; a site that opts to showcase Vampirella and Katerina Witt instead of Christina Aguilera like every other site on the 'net. Furthermore, you have to have respect Retro Crush for openly wallowing in gooey geekiness by doing things like compiling a (damn good) list of the 50 Sexiest Cartoon Babes!
But Wait, There's More!
Much like a never-ending infomercial (but a billion times more entertaining), surprising bounties of kick-ass content lurk around every corner (and not only about babes, nosireebob!). For instance, what self-respecting fanboy wouldn't love to read an interview with Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead)? Or perhaps a parody of VH1's Behind the Music about Johnny Bravo? And who wouldn't love to see a collection of images from Topp's series of Mars Attacks trading cards? (Dude, those things are so friggin' cool... Mars Attacks the movie is unbelievably lame in comparisson.)
And that's really just scratching the surface. Retro Crush ought to appease even the mightiest comic-book-video-game-pop-culture-wil-wheaton-movie-toy-and-total-randomness enthusiast's appetite.
The X-E Family Tree
You see, Robert Berry, the mastermind behind Retro Crush, used to write for X-E. That alone ought to speak volumes about Retro Crush's style and taste. But don't be fooled, Retro Crush stands plenty strong on its own even without its X-E ties.
Don't forget, we love 'em, too. THAT alone should be enough to make you check them out. Run, don't walk: RetroCrush.com |
