Todd Nauck's Lego Men
by Stephen Lin, Editor in Chief

Geeking Out!
Blue Beetle LegoHeh heh heh... this is just too cool. One of my favorite comic book artists, Todd Nauck (Young Justice), apparently has a nifty litte hobby. He custom paints Lego people as comic books characters.

Sure, you've seen customized Stikfas before, but those things are just huge compared to those tiny Lego guys! It's got to take some skill to make those Legos look like the characters they're modeled after.

What's Cooler Than Cool?
If you take a look at ToddNauck.com/legos.html, you'll notice a wonderful assortment of characters including the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and Batman Beyond. But what really makes me happy is the presence of the following characters: Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Martian Manhunter, Black Canary, Guy Gardner, Batman, and Mister Miracle (not to mention Power Girl and the Elongated Man).

Why am I excited about this particular assortment of Legos? They represent some of the key cast members of Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis' run on the Justice League comic from the late 80's. I get the warm-fuzzies just thinking about it!

What's Sadder Than Sad?
Peter David and Todd Nauck's run on Young Justice actually reminds me a lot of Giffen and DeMatteis' Justice League. As such, I'm doubly irritated with DC Comics' title-shuffling to better accomodate the soon-to-air Teen Titans cartoon. (Read: they canceled Young Justice, one of my faves in order to make the comics more in tune with the 'toon.) For more info on this, please read the November 11, 2002 entry in Peter David's blog.

But, I digress... this is a review for happier things! Go check out Todd's Lego men (and women) and marvel at their glory! Great artist. Great site. Great Legos.

Who would you most like to see as the lead in Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman movie?
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Eliza Dushku
Sandra Bullock
Aria Giovanni
Summer Glau
Eva Longoria
Evangeline Lilly
Lynda Carter
