The Wong Fei Hung-Boston Connection
You've all seen Drunken Master 2 starring Jackie Chan? Well, in that legendary flick Chan plays a Kung Fu God (not literally a God...) named Wong Fei Hung. In real like, this Wong guy taught a guy named Lam Sai Wing who, in turn, taught a guy named Lam Jo.
Lam Jo, the world-famous modern day Grandmaster of the Hung Gar system, taught a guy named Tang Kwok Wah who, in turn, trained a guy named Yon Lee. Master Lee runs a top-notch Kung Fu (and Tai Chi) school in the Boston area (North Quincy) and also teaches in Cambridge at Harvard University. If you're looking for an authentic family style system of kung fu in Boston, check out the Chung Wah Academy.
If you're interested in Tai Chi, Chi Kung, or traditional Chinese Medicine, they can hook you up with that, too. And after all, how many places can you learn from a fourth generation disciple of the Tiger Crane Kung Fu system?
