Star Wars Trilogy in 30 Minutes
April 28, 2003
I've got a good feeling about this...
While no Newmoanyeah-ers have actually seen the Star Wars Trilogy in 30 Minutes, it's just too good a concept to not cover here. And just like it sounds, the live theatre show is a massive truncation of the complete original Star Wars trilogy.
Based on the pictures on the official website, there are extremely funny liberties, modifications, and shortcuts (actors playing multiple rolls, CHEAP props, etc.) taken in order to fit the classic sci fi epic into the same amount of time it takes to make Editor Stephen Lin's guacamole recipe.
If you're in L.A., go see this and tell us how it is... perhaps we'll publish your responses as a review. The show's run has been extended through May 31. Mad props to director/adapter Patrick T. Gorman for putting this thing together!
