Top Ten Witches

You may agree or disagree, but it's my list so like it or LUMP IT!
All of these witches could turn you into a toad with just a look and all are cool in their own rights. Some are pop culture icons that we grew up with; some from TV, novels, movies, comics, and even classic literature. They have helped shape the way we see witches (good and evil) in the world.
- The Three Witches from Macbeth. They even made it into a cartoon on Gargoyles.
- Polly Greens (the witch friend of Jingle Bell from the Paul Dini comic book). Polly can be found counting down to Halloween on Jingle's site
- Witchiepoo from HR Puffinstuff. Okay, this might be a little obscure for some people who didn't grow up with this TV show.
- Mad Madame Mim from The Sword and the Stone.
- The Witches of Eastwick.
- Samantha Stevens (from Bewitched).
- The Wicked Witch of the West - "I'll get you my pretty and your little dog too!"
- Scary Godmother. One of my favorite comics! She even has her own cartoon coming out on DVD. [Hey yeah! The latest issue of Computer Graphics World has a cover story about the animation! - Computer Geek Steve.]
- Professor McGonagall (Oscar Winner Maggie Smith) from Harry Potter.
- Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg, and Magrat Garlick, also know as the Wyrd Sisters from the books of Terry Partchett. From the Disc World series, these three witches on their own are pretty formidable, but together they are they are unstoppable (that is when they aren't arguing amongst themselves). They are in most of the books of this series either as main characters or supporting cast, just along for the ride. Their stories have been adapted for comics, books, cartoons, and a play.
