Outing Justin
As much as Justin sometimes tries to deny his geekhood, this recent conversation truly proves that he belongs among the pantheon of nerds that I've assembled for Newmoanyeah.
| nmyJustin: |
i'm bored, say something entertaining |
| nmyStephen: |
baboons ate my nipples. |
| nmyJustin: |
hmm, i give it a 5.5 |
| nmyStephen: |
baboons ate your nipples. |
| nmyJustin: |
4.5 |
| nmyStephen: |
I believe that there was an article in Time predicting that there would be stripper pole competitions on ESPN within 5 years. |
| nmyJustin: |
speaking of which... |
| nmyJustin: |
newmoanyeah is gettig filthier and filthier. |
| nmyJustin: |
i felt dirty reading this weeks lead story |
| nmyStephen: |
Really? |
| nmyStephen: |
We're almost out of sex toy reviews. But I do see your point. I think we're running at two extremes... extremely filthy and extremely geeky. |
| nmyJustin: |
an interesting combo, granted |
| nmyJustin: |
Quake bert intrigues me |
| nmyJustin: |
I actually have a fully functioning Atari 2600 set up at my grandmother's house |
| nmyStephen: |
You bastard, I keep looking for one to buy. |
| nmyStephen: |
With paddles and Warlords. |
| nmyJustin: |
can't help you there, but i do have Defender |
| nmyJustin: |
Popeye |
| nmyJustin: |
Soccer |
| nmyJustin: |
Invadrers... or something like that |
| nmyJustin: |
I lost Galaga and Spiderman, which were two of my favorites, i suspect my grandmother is stealing them |
| nmyStephen: |
Spider-Man is the other game I'd have to have. |
| nmyJustin: |
did you ever play it, it was SO good |
| nmyJustin: |
every board ended with the green goblin... over... and over...and over again |
| nmyJustin: |
Oh, I know what you would like, I have Empire Strikes Back for Atari 2600 |
| nmyJustin: |
crazy game |
| nmyStephen: |
Oh! I the snow speeder and the AT-ATs? |
| nmyStephen: |
With the, rather. |
| nmyJustin: |
yup |
| nmyJustin: |
really really hard |
| nmyStephen: |
good stuff... I'd probably also want Pitfall. |
| nmyJustin: |
Got that too! |
| nmyJustin: |
and q-bert |
| nmyStephen: |
Quake-bert REALLY would be an interesting concept. |
| nmyJustin: |
i've never played quake, is that like a Doom? |
| nmyStephen: |
yeah. |
| nmyStephen: |
Same people. |
| nmyStephen: |
More violent, better graphics. |
| nmyJustin: |
i was thinking a first-person Pac Man would be awesome |
| nmyJustin: |
Maybe a Pitfall/California Games combo... |
| nmyStephen: |
California? |
| nmyJustin: |
"California Games" - it was a short-lived game that combined a bunch of sports in one, like those olympics games. It had things like surfing, track, hackey-sack. Try jumping on the crocodiile's heads while keeping that little sack aloft |
| nmyStephen: |
OH YEAH!!! |
Ending on an exuberant note.
While the conversation did meander on for a bit, I decided to cut the feature short as we already get a splendid view of Justin's inner-geek by this point. To quote Yoda (approximately): "Seeing Justin geeky brings warm feelings to my heart."
And for the record, I loved Winter Games.
