Mysterious Sign Spurs Pondering
by Lisa Turner, Groovalicious Editor

Many, Many Years From Now...
Boston University's Longer Range FutureI was taking a walk around my alma mater a couple of weeks ago when this sign caught my eye. I know Boston University makes a gizzilion dollars a year off of students, and in the past people have speculated that they spent some of it on testing weapons in top-secret back rooms for the Dept. of Defense, and other good causes for liberal human-rights groups (the sarcasm of which is lost on anyone unfamiliar with BU's dictatorial government), but this one was new to me.

But the longer-range future? Is this part of a nation-wide study? Is Harvard studying the short-range future? Maybe Berkeley has a center dedicated to the day after tomorrow? Suggestions anyone?

No wonder history departments are shrinking. I guess studying the past is a thing of... the past.
