Penny-Arcade: Sad About Zombies
by Stephen Lin, Editor in Chief
December 12, 2002 + Boston, MA

More Gaming Comics!
Penny-Arcade - image from a sold out t-shirt.Sure, you've heard me go on about how much I love PvP and Troy's Bucket, but I've been horribly remiss in not mentioning the legendary Penny-Arcade.

I mean, how can you NOT love a comic strip that has an angry, drunk (not to mention obsolete) Divx Player? But, I digress... apart from informing you that Penny-Arcade is a kick-ass comic that you should read for the geeky gaming humor, I want to tell the entire (newmoanyeah-reading) world about creators Mike Krahulik's (Gabe) and Jerry Holkins' (Tycho) fantastic command of drama! Yes, I said drama!

Zombie Emotion
You're probably going to think that I'm insane, but there are two strips that make me laugh, cry, and want to read again and again. The two strips involve the saddest most hurt-feelinged zombie I've ever seen. And for that alone, I'd vote Tycho and Gabe into some kind of office. Which office? I don't know.

But, go get yourself familiarized with Penny-Arcade and then go see the zombie strips and see if I'm wrong. (Seriously... it's WAAAAAAAY more sad and emotional than when Jade and Brent broke up in PvP!)
