Ode to Mafia (from Illusion Softworks)
"Hey Paulie," is often heard
In a game by Illusion Softworks.
In it you're part of the Mafia
And your family runs part of this town.
And through it all, you drive your cars
But watch your deeds 'cause there's cops around.
With bridges, lights and chasing cops
You'll have fun driving your 1930's car.
But be aware of one thing true
Your tires can be shot, to keep you close not far.
And when the missions come and arrive
Some can be harder then stealing my mom's pie.
And one sad thing is true
You can't skip them, the game makes you try.
Although you can download saved games from sites
To pass the ones that are too hard to fight
And though your cars are not speedy until late in the game
There's one thing left to tell you that this game is more than alright.
You drive, you drive, almost everywhere
A bit tedious after times you can tell
But the graphics are awesome for those who afford
The 64 meg graphics cards they sell.
You can damage cars with guns or bats,
Fight mob bosses and steal cars and booze,
Drive trucks and fight cops and more,
Drive in races
And assassinations,
Cave their faces
And insurrections.
Cars are no Ferraris or muscle machines
They're big and clunky and accurate as hell
And later on they're faster yet
And cops are hard to outrun as well.
Guns and ammo, all third person to boot.
And through it all I have to give it,
A score higher than the rest
'Cause this Mafia game is one of the best.
